RE; JDS Uniphase dwarfs Corning (as well as the dozens of optical components startups) in terms of its size and breadth. In 1999, Corning's revenues, across all its businesses totalled $4.7 billion.

So GLW has twice the cash flow of the recently expanded JDSU...doesn't sound like a dwarf at all. More like a giant...guess we better get some more. Who writes this stuff anyway? Thank God for SI!
