~So GLW has twice the cash flow of the recently expanded JDSU...doesn't sound like a dwarf at all. More like a giant...guess we better get some more. Who writes this stuff anyway? Thank God for SI!~

Exactly! GLW will continue to buy the all the pump modules ( along with NT ) that they need and passed on the SDLI deal ( because of the high price). They can do this and continue to swallow smaller players along the way. Sold out of fibr for the next 5 qrts? As more money now flows into the market, things should be good for the future... They felt that the high price of the deal was not in the best interest of share holders. I will take their word for the direction of the company.

Mike

twice the revenue doesn't mean twice the cashflow. cashflow is what you have left after all costs and payments. it's what you'll have available next year for, e.g., r&d. it is a major measure of value - in fact THE major measure. it'd be useful to know the relative cashflows of glw & jdsu.
