OT: on games the shorts play, my friend who is a shrink
claims that maintaining a short position is
psychologically much harder than being long. i.e. it's
unnatural to hold onto something based on pessimism.

It makes sense to me that shorts have a need to "psych"
themselves about their short position and that is the
main reason they tend to be rabid posters who love to
insult the longs - they need the stimulus provided by
antagonism to sustain their enthusiasm about being short
and their negative pessimistic attitudes.

From the looks of it, Mr. A.G. is going to be needed that
stimulation more than ever, especially thru the next 7
days!

Gary,
We made it over 23 today. It is incredible to me how low WSTL remains in light of the forthcoming earnings and the visible growth in DSL. I'm hoping this well kept NASDAQ secret will come out of its closet. From one of the posts on the Yahoo thread it was indicated that WSTL is now part of the Russell 2000 and 3000. Maybe that will help.

We even have Cramer talking about it now. Granted he thinks the rollout is being handled poorly, and I would agree, but actually we are seeing the emergence of a whole new STANDARD for communications throughout the world -- real time audio and video communication. The consequences will be enormous and I think it is hard to fully realize just how transformed our lives will become.

Hoping the trend continues,
Michael

P.S. Auric -- beware the coming DSL tsunami least you drown anchored by gold. Lighten up and buy some WSTL and know what true wealth is.
