Exactly. Where is this going to stop? If someone gets heart disease from eating fatty foods is the government going to sue "big" junk food for damages to pay medical costs? Personal responsibility seems to be a foreign concept in this country.

The distinction, I believe, is that driving a car is not addictive, nor is driving into a brick wall. Although all smokers started off with a choice whether to smoke, the addictive properties of the product trump any element of choice.

Fact is, they made a product they knew was addictive and killed people, tried to hide that fact, then lied about it.
