mike,

re "I am also concerned that palm may loose market share"...

not an unreasonable concern. unless you ask yourself who is going to take share away and how will they do it? rather than simply saying that PALM may lose share, focus on who is going to rise up and do a better job? there is a common misconception among sales managers (and i believe this fits here) that says

a) a top producer can't get better, and
b) a non-producer can get better

a lot of missed opportunities and money poured down the drain because of the above flawed thinking on behalf of managers. now apply this misconception to PALM and you have a lot of people fearing that market share is going to erode, that PALM can't get better. and that's why i ask you to tell me which non-producer you suddenly have confidence in to execute in place of PALM? i don't think it will happen. PALM will get better.

an added bonus to all this market share focus is that PALM has the operating system. and i know you know this, but it's a wonderful time to point out that the most likely contenders for share are turning out to be companies who have license agreements with PALM to use their os. what could be better?

just some added thoughts is all...

have a good weekend

:)
