<<Victor, I don't know about SSB, but HB has AMZN generating EBITDA of $419 mil in 2002 and $2.3 billion in 2005 under his "Aggressive Case" scenario. >>

Doesn't ebitda stand for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization ??

Interst to the bondholders- $100 mill + per yr
taxes- nil
depreciation- what will be their 2002 deprec for all this warehouse capacity and the new office in Seattle?? And all the equipment they've had to buy for the warehouses and the new office?
amortization- ongoing amortization for all these failed .coms they've bought or taken stakes in...

So, after all that in 2001 and 2002, why does that guy at SSB think AMZN will have $767M in cash lying around in April of 2002 ??

Unless... unless... he's already sold them a new bond offering or something in return for that report he wrote?

Victor
