Let's see, De Beers will be spending ten times as much on advertising as they have been. Does the National Post or The Globe and Mail want to piss them off? Hmmmm.... How sweet if De Beers gets Winspear for four and a quarter.

Cheers

Ton from Niagara.

You should post more often. It's nice to see common sense applied.

Cheers

Tony from Niagra, good to hear from you.Iam James from Niagra, nice to see somone from my area post on this board.I was in on the Argentina buy out as well.I can remember that during the ABX bid that shareholders were worried that ABX would walk away and the shares would sink below the bid.I had no worries at the time as my judgement told me that the deposit was too important to not get a competing bid.In todays news release,if you read between the lines, Randy is expecting a competing bid before the DBRs deadline runs out.Iam not worried about DBRs walking.Dbrs has had been late coming to the Canadian diamond industry.I don't think they can afford to play their game much longer. As a business person myself I don't think it was wise on DBRs part to launch a hostile bid in the first place.Buy doing this instead if aproaching WSPs nanagement in a friendly fashion and asking RT what it will take to do a deal, they may have blown it,as now they have got their competion talking with WSP.I will give DBRs credit for trying to get a good deal for their shareholders. But some times in life, you have to be fair and pay up,to get the best deal for your shareholders. Have a good day James
