Jane, You're obviously not blonde enough. The Blonde in the joke was looking at a map and observing that it would be downhill all the way from Maine to Georgia.

Jane, I dont believe it is downhill all the way (from Maine to Georgia) because the Smokies and the Blues are in the way...right? There are a lot of mountain ranges other than the Great Smokies and the Blue Ridge one must traverse. The Appalachians run from Canada to Alabama, and so the trip is mountains all of the way. To go down a mountain, one must first go up it. I am having a wonderful summer. Hope you are keeping a lot of sand between your toes. Have fun, Phil
