Chindogu
---------

Chindogu is the Japanese word for the art of the "un-useless idea." Kenji Kawakami has been its foremost proponent, producing four books on odd inventions, and heading the International Chindogu Society. Typical inventions include dusting slippers for your cat, so your housepets can help with the chores, and a t-shirt with a lettered and numbered grid on it, so you can give accurate directions to a friend who is scratching your back. How about a chopstick mounted fan, for cooling your noodles before they get to your mouth?

Chindogu is all in fun, but it is a good reminder that not all the great ideas have been thought of yet!
