Mark,

Right you are, I keep forgetting that the Apex and the Apex Plus are different. All my comments are about the Apex Plus, as I did not hit the regular Apex blade.

Interesting that you have heard comments about the shafts too. I did a side by side a couple of months ago with the Armour V-25, the Apex Plus, and the Cleveland TA-1 and 3 (think they are both form forged?).

All are good clubs, but ball flight was what really sold me on the Armours. I also did a blind test was differnt shafts and surprised myself as the regular Dynamic Golds on the V-25 produced the best ball flight, and no leaking with the long irons. To make it short (er something I don't seem to do very often on this thread <g>), I put the macho "I play with stiff shafts" in the closet and bought the regular shafts. Really happy with them.

As for the macho bs, well I just had the X stiff Limited filament shaft put in my 975D. So, er I got that going for me. Its funny, but I swing it slower and the ball goes much further. The steel is really nice too, but you can't have it all...at least not yet!

Have a good one. I have to go three days without playing. I wonder if Betty Ford is treating for golf yet?
