A CALL FOR HELP!! Okay DARians... don't let me down on this... I'm looking for a couple of examples of some form of technology that, at one time, everyone thought was the greatest thing since sliced bread.... but that some people were wary of...because they didn't believe in it... and that ultimately turned out to have hideous repercussions for mankind... Anyone know of some "technological advance" that they can remember hearing of and would like to share? It should be the kind of thing that would be instantly recognizable as a "hideous technological bomb-out"... I don't really think that the Titanic or cigarettes cut it in this case...
