Eric L: You must be joking. You seriously believe that the Europeans can and will blackball HDR and 1xEV?

Since HDR meets all the specifications of 3rd gen, what possible excuse could there be?

Would it be the absurdity that it fits current spectrum?

Eric, thanks for all the great info.
The 3G picture is much clearer now but certainly not crystal clear.
Q has a ways to go to be the Gorilla of 3G but today's patent victory is a giant step in the right direction, especially if WCDMA does in fact winds up being the defacto 3G standard.
No wonder Mr Market got so scared of Q, there's so much confusion going on that I don't think half the people in these industry groups knows whats going on or exactly which way things are going to turn out wrt final standards.
