Paul,

Ok, I stopped by another CompUsa store, this one in NYC, and I did find a Piii 866. This was in a Sony / Vaio system. BTW, Sony has been Intel only OEM. They would be a good win for AMD, especially for those 1 GHz Corvettes.

But again, there were number of number of HP and Compaq computers at 900 MHz plus, including 2 1 GHz systems.

CompUsa also has their private label / built to order systems that appear to be Intel only. Their clock speeds only went to 666 MHz, based on the models displayed.

go to the UPSCALE places and you will find Intel's CPUS !!

What do I have to do get one of them fast Piii, tip the maitre d'? Or make a reservation under name Michael Dell?

Joe
