So who is in charge? ATHM? Att? You don't know, Bell doesn't know. No one knows. None have yet expressed the slightest comprehension of the most important property of corporation. A corporation must have a definition, a mission and purpose.

Correct. I don't want ATHM to be part of any team. Whose interest is being served by such a group? At some point you have to differentiate between group and individual. That hasn't been done in ATHM's case. In the final analysis like I predicted 2 years ago, Att will either take ATHM in house and exchange Att stock or ATHM will be spun off. The latter seems less likely now. But how could ATHM go it alone? That was moot years ago. Att owns and controls. Maybe they're holding down the stock hoping the other partners will exercise the right to sell.

Another thing that hasn't been mentioned is that this conglomeration will force AOL, MSFT, or X, to accelerate their efforts to field a capable opponent. That threatens @Home more than Chello. So far the potential threat has been muted because ATHM is such a bungling collection of incompetents that the potential competition simply doesn't take them seriously. The prospective adversaries don't have the luxury to wait now.
