Virus Alert! I just got two e-mails with the subject "Fwd: Joke" from a familiar company (i.e. one to which I had e-mail contact with in the past). I knew from looking at the .VBS (Visual Basic Script) attachment it might be trouble so I ran it through Norton Antivirus. Sure enough, it contained a variation of the Love virus. Recall that one spreads by going through your address book and sending infected e-mails to everyone in it. Then it screws up your computer. These people see the e-mail coming from you, a friend, they open it, and so on. If you don't have automatic virus detection, be sure to check all e-mail attachments and run all files with unfamiliar extensions through a virus checker. - Jeff
