Tony - Re: "The cap equip companies are production constrained also. Next year? "

You own AMAT right ?

My guess is that AMAT, NVLS, LRCX CYMI, PRIA, SVGI, etc. are going to DOUBLE in the next 12 months.

Tony - From IBM's earnings report:

"Web server revenues, led by advanced new high-end and mid-range models, grew strongly. "

IBM also said AS/400 sales sucked as did MainFrames.

Thus, the INTEL NetFinity line must still be the GROWING SEGMENT in IBM's hardware business.

Tony, RE: I counted at least 5 "nice quarter" remarks as opening to questions by the analysts. That's a lot, based on past CCs. OK, now we'll take upgrades.

Analysts give out those 'nice quarter' remarks to pat themselves on the backs, not Intel.

The average analyst rating on Intel is higher than it has been for a good long while. On a scale of 1 to 5, the average rating is 4.735. Only 3 of 34 analysts out there have Intel at neutral. Although I don't have actual numbers that track this historically, I cannot recall another time that Intel has been this highly rated by the analysts. Upgrades aren't too likely.
