1. Would love everything on the desk if it were small enough. Do you know how much of pain in the neck it is to get to my p.c. under my desk with about 10 cables and wires connected. They are making the p.c. like a desktop sterio system. I like the idea with a "cool" thin screen.

The price of the cube is a mistake.

$200 more for fewer slots and bays for harddrives? I can't see any businesses or schools willing to pay more for less. I'm not sure what market segment they were intending to target, but I'm sure it will make a nice executive's fashion accessory. It will probably do as well as the 20th anniversary Mac.

If Apple was smarter, they would have priced it $200-$300 less than the entry level G4 and positioned it as headless iMac/G4. The cube is beautiful, but I can't imagine a lot of people shelling out the money.

Also, Apple should have raised the entry level G4's mhz by 50. I know that's not much, and Motorola has put Apple in a pickle, but it's the thought that counts. The way things are going with Motorola, it looks like it will be 6-12 months before Apple comes out with a G4 that I'm willing to buy.

<< why I would buy the low end cube over the tower>>

I just upgraded my cramped, small corporate training room to a dozen G4/450s.

Now that the cube is out. I intend to redeploy those G4s to our creative department and replace the training room with G4 cubes!

Smaller and just as powerful. I can install virtual PC and conduct training for our Windows users as well.
