Binx,
<<Why doesn't SNDK have a toll free conference call number?Where is the replay number?... Make it easier for the investing community to hear their story and maybe there would be less confusion! Make it easier for the investing community to hear their story and maybe there would be less confusion!>>
I couldn't agree more! A white paper talking about the different kinds of flash, and which companies produce them would be helpful. Put it on the web. Get links to it on the opening page of the "Press Release" web page, and the "Investors" web page (or whatever they are called on Sandisk's site). Put it in the next annual report.

And for crying out loud, get a 48 hour company-paid replay of the CC--it would have helped educate a lot of people who couldn't listen in the original! Penny-wise, pound foolish!

ELI, IF YOUR LISTENING, YOU JUST KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING, WHICH IS JUST FINE WITH ME! </>

Binx and thread,

Eli's job is to run the company and make it profitable, NOT TO JACK UP THE STOCK PRICE! (that's your job, Binx.)

Eli has done exactly what he is supposed to do, and he has done it better than any of us expected! Keep it up, Eli, your doing great!

THE STOCK PRICE WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF.

P.S. Eli, when are we going to see the ads with those little mice wearing earphones listening to their MP3 players with the Sandisk MMC cards?

Binx,
You said the company sucks at forecasting. Just what are you referring to? They have been very accurate from what I have seen. Eli said some time ago that Sandisk was on the first block of main street, and just taking the first stop on that block. That is as accurate as you can get.

As for sucking, it's the mainstream media that sucks! It's the mainstream analysts that suck!

Hear that giant sucking sound? Monica has nothing on them!

I've been following SanDisk for 5 years ;)

They suck at Forecasting.

How so? Eli seems to be pretty straightforward when it comes to outlook for the company.

Why doesn't SNDK have a toll free conference call number?

Where is the replay number?

No doubt. SanDisk IR should start doing things for the retail investor. Virtually every company out there has CC replays and also streams their CC's over the web. I think SanDisk needs to get their act together in this respect if they want to be a world-class company. SanDisk is no start-up. They've been a public company long enough; they should have learned these things by now.

Why did Niles leave Robby?

Why hasn't Niles repeated his strong buy rating on SNDK?

What is Lehman's relationship with Fidelity?

Who underwrote the SNDK secondaries?

I think I see what you're getting at here. Maybe Niles is trying to get all those Fido funds into SanDisk ahead of his strong buy rating. Lehman and Fidelity have strong ties, I believe.

Is Isreal giving a grant (read, not loan) to
Tower Semiconductor? Does that sound like socialism or
fascism to anyone else?

Huh? It sounds like Israel is trying to nurture a new industry in their country. The US does the same thing. What about all the money DARPA gives to companies? And what about the subsidized spectrum the FCC auctions to "designated entities" and smaller carriers?
