If the deal is a go, SDLI may gain 100 or so points from current levels. Easily. If it is a no go, it may quickly lose 50 or so on a knee-jerk arb selloff. An -- as you suggest -- may gain it back just as quick if another suiter is identified. That said, I believe shorting SDLI on the possibility that the deal will fall through is not a smart move. At all. BWDIK

I maintain my reasoning simply b/c the only situation in which the deal would fall through would be another suitor and that price would hold up the stock.

Call me stubborn.

OK---You are stubborn and so am I.<ggg>

I hope this deal gets approved as I don't see an imediate suitor for SDLI unlike the ETEK situation. Of course if it were to drop from much higher levels, no long term holder will really care.
Actually I don't want to think about the deal not going through.
I am still betting it gets approved.

Lets go back to the S and P 500 addition. We are heading higher, IMHO.
