The interesting thing is that Henry Blodgett was not on the cc. He had an assistant stand in. She asked a fairly silly question (It was the only one I didn't bother taking notes on). She was obviously not very familar with the company.

Even more interesting is that Blodget has called the correct reception/perception for/of athm by the market for the past many months. Maybe he figured same s*& different day, why go?

Worse, I don't even like the guy...go figure.

Bell is full of shit. What does he or ATHM know of install? He's an exec who depends on sifted info. Install is under the purview of Att. Att execs are informed by other underlings with sifted info about the status in the field. What Bell gets from Att execs is twice removed and thoroughly cleaned. Thus, he doesn't know squat about what's happening in the field.

Further, it's a mistake to think that a roll is undesirable. The roll can be a mini sales campaign and it nips trouble before it can start. Trying to avoid it brings a new can of worms. Consider all these people who are given a "kit" and told "go do it". They try to do it and they become enraged because they can't. What was that about brand and image and all those things which make Silicon Quiche worth zillions?

Bell puts this emphasis on 3M. He states he can do what isn't important. Why is 3M important? 2.9 isn't? He's trying to live up to someone else's standard. He's been told by various incompetents that this and that must be done. Bell is weak and doesn't know what he's doing, so he goes along. He's just a little boy. He's no CEO.

Why should you be concerned about the same thing Bell has been instructed to be concerned about? You should be concerned about what will make this company successful. Some arbitrary quantity of subs won't. The Quiche press kills you if you don't live up to its imaginings, but the trick is to PISS ON THEM.

They are counting on the subs inherited from Roadrunner to put them right over 3 mill for the year. There is no other way since the ramp up seems to be taking longer.
