David,

*OT*

Now that we are nearing the end of our 6-9 month drama, what will we do next?

I saw you mention the LU spinoff.

Have you looked at METHA/STLW? I got some STLW in the IPO, which is a spinoff from METHA. The resemblance is a little eerie. They plan on completing the spinoff "in about 6 months" after they receive a favorable "tax-free" distribution ruling from the IRS, at which point they plan on distribution approximately 1.5 shares STLW for each METHA shareholder.

I know absolutely nothing about METHA, but STLW seems to be getting some pretty good press, and the QP was up today, so Monday should bring some BUY ratings and maybe even a $100 price target (currently about $49).

Currently, METHA's market cap is about 1.9B and STLW is about 3.1. Sound familiar? Looks like some serious arbitrage there.

A little different than PALM though in that it has been slowly climbing since a week or so after the IPO.

Any thoughts?

kcmike

PS. I think ETN/AXCL is another spinoff.

If you view the charts for the last 5 years, Coms always runs up between Oct and Mar of the following year. Although the greater percentage of those on the thread seem to feel coms is next to worthless w/o palm< I disagree. I've been playing coms since 95 and have done very well every year with it. When palm first came out, it was no big thing, however it has advanced considerably since that time. I doubt very seriously that coms w/o palm will be lower than 30 come the end of the year. I'm banking that it won't be, and I still think comsv @ 12 is a no brainer, just as coms was a NB every time the stock tanked into the 20's. Those who have repeatedly purchased coms over the years in the 20's, buying and selling on the pops(as I have) have made a hell of a lit of money on this baby amid the voices of gloom and doom, however only time will tell. Speaking of the occasional voices of gloom and doom........HEY GARY...WHERE ARE YOU??? Anyone with considerable experience playing coms knows it doesn't follow the usual rational.
