If you're looking for some alternative stocks to consider go to changewave.com

You'll find the new-tech industry divided into 11 sectors. Click to go to a table listing a number of stocks in that sector with current prices, volumes, MTD% and YTD%, EPS and market cap. Links take you to charts and info on each one.

Going though all 11 sectors I found the only 2 with knock-out YTD% are the 'optical networking' and 'broadband communications semiconductors'. Surprise, surprise.

It's interesting to see how poorly some of the so-called hot sectors are performing this year.
