Why any debate? It is patently obvious that Carnivore has the capability to infringe upon privacy on a massive scale. And the agency originally created and run by one of America's greatest fascists (J. Edgar Hoover) is the one who will employ it? Ha! It should be outlawed without even the courtesy of a "debate."

I just cannot fathom the fact that LE always tries to circumvent THE CONSTITUTION.

I would have thought, and did as a young person, that LE strives to protect the Constitution. How mcuh folly was that?

It enrages me....
