Dear QS: Why October? I'm thinking a split will be announced some time from mid August to early September at the latest. My thinking for this could very well be based on a faulty assumption: that there are not enough shares left to issue a split without shareholder approval to increase the number of authorized shares. Since the shareholder's meeting is November 8, I am picking late August/early September which gives (I think--another assumption) sufficient time to put a share increase item on the proxy form.
