I don't disagree with your view on ST direction. I don't think the bottom line is as critical as you suggest. For companies in which cash flow and capital financing is not a critical issue, I think the street is more interested in market share and competitive positioning.

If healthy top line growth is reinvested reasonably by VIGN and BVSN and metrics such as new customers, # of employees, # of systems integrators, average deal size, and deferred revenue growth track well, hitting the bottom line number will be good enough. I emphasize - If they just hit the bottom line then they have to do very well on the top line. "Very well" would be reaccelerating sequential top line growth.

The action today indicates that no matter what they do there will be selling on the news. If they show good top line, I think selling on the news will be a mistake. I am bullish though.
