There is a lack of interest in ORCL on this thread that is surprising considering that ORCL is one of the few genuine gorillas. I should have held my nose and purchased it when it was cheap.

I used to work for Oracle in the UK consulting organisation and as part of the pay package, had the opportunity to buy discounted stock. Having never held any stock before I was in two minds about it but decided I might as well buy some. This was between 1996 and 1998. I left them to start my own business and really paid no attention to the stock apart from noticing that it was losing value <g>.

I was then lucky enough to see a reference to TRFM, bought it and read it and thought Wow! This convinced me not to cut my losses and hold on for a proven substitution threat.

Anyway, to get to the point, my ORCL stock is currently up 560% on average over the 2 to 3 years (750% on the actual price I paid). Another demonstration of the benefit of LTB&H (or Apathy - my version of it).

Ian.

PS I only met LE once when I'd been with the company 6 weeks. He does give a pretty good presentation.

Famous last words of everyone who does not buy in on a Gorilla!
