Hi Keith, Yep, one of Sam's boys. Didn't get a chance to meet him, however. I was too busy signing autographs myself! :-)

Vintage race weekends almost always have what is called "Touring" sessions during the lunch hour. This is where spectators lay down their cold, hard Greenbacks and are sent out for 45 min. to 1 hr. of laps in their own cars around the track. There's usually two pace cars out at the same time (Elkhart Lake's track is 4 miles long) to keep it from turning into total chaos. Rules are NO PASSING in or near the corners - passing only on the straights. With 14 turns, there's plenty of straight sections for a quick pass.

Oh, BTW, I don't think they allow pick-up trucks in touring any more! :-)

Best regards,
