Milo,

<font color=purple>Major AMD OEM customers - including Compaq - will introduce Sledgehammer-based servers as early as Q4 this year, it has emerged.

I think that Dell is going to introduce a 1.5GHz Sledgehammer, and the stock will go to $200.

<font color=AMD green>Milo - RE: "Compaq to intro AMD Sledgehammer servers"

I am going to assume he meant Mustang instead of Sledgehammer. Assuming the Compaq part of the story is accurate, it is good to see a big OEM supporting AMD's entrance into the server market. Isn't Compaq the largest server vendor? We'll soon find out if the server market values the Compaq or Intel/AMD name more when deciding which machine to purchase.

Edit - I guess SI doesn't know what "AMD green" is. ;)

Milo re <<[from the register] Compaq to intro AMD Sledgehammer servers>>

Right now, I'll be happy with a Duron machine.

We are now almost 1/3 of the way into this quarter, classic Athlon wafer starts have been stopped for a while and yet we do not have a any major OEM offering the Duron. And what is even worse that no one other that Gateway is offering the TBird. And I have not seen any add for the select line on TV and Gateway is really not promoting them on their website any more. Beating the earnings numbers for this quarter is getting more difficult by the day.

AMD is stock piling up the Duron and TBird for at least a month now. I am worried.
