Can't wait to see that on Speedvision (the best reason to have DSS!)!

We've got an Austin Healey 3000 MKII that we're trying to get our hands on again after it was sent off for restoration (long story -- Anyone know a Larry Bowman who does Euro-car restorations near Rolla, MO?) and, much to my family's horror (except for my dad who's all for it), I intend to put roll bars in it and put it on the track as soon as I get my hands back on it.

Tom, that's really gutsy driving her to the track.

2:38 on a 4-mile course?!? Never been there, but it's hard to imagine even my semi-trick little Mustang doing anything approaching that on such a long course. Your 3:10 is amazing on its own, especially considering the technology you're working with.

Yes, road courses are a major olfactory experience. There's also the taste of brake dust on your lips that tells you you're finally running hard enough.

Can't wait for my next time out!

Bob

Tom...

Brakes,,....??

A friend of mine use to make rotors and stuff for the WoW(World of Outlaws) Sprint cars...very light and had some trick coating (ceramic of sorts) that really helped with brake fade. The guy doing the coating was suppose to be the "trick" part...& I think he's doing hush hush nascar parts now too...I see what the deal is, haven't heard boo about this guy in a while. I believe they were $1400 for a set...but, as you know,,..stopping IS important :-)
