Now we can freely post about 2GHz Dell Sledgehammer CPU's with ASP's of $2000, and early retirement, and buying islands in the South Pacific, and throwing parties for Jerry. Also, I do not recall any serious software "incompatibilities" with the K7... <..or that he left and AMD screwed up in his absence?> The press release says: "..responsible for verifying compatibility of AMD's Athlon microprocessor, chipset, and motherboard solutions." In my poor English comprehension, "verifying" does not mean "designing and/or manufacturing." Somebody else must be doing the latter. You know the results. Regards, - Ali
