Art, I once taught photography in a classroom environment. I woiuld bet that you and your 950 will do better than most anyone buying a Nikon Dx today. Experience counts. I bought a Nikon 990 this week because I think that Nikon Dx cameras are WAY too overpriced. If I could have had any <$2K camera/ Given the choice, I chose Nikon. At some future time, my 990 may be a piece of history. Hopefully, owning it will be more like owning a 1967 Chevelle SS 396 than owning an "old" camera. I bought it. I own it. As Martha S. says ... this is a good thing. Crtaig
