There is no implied migration. Existing RR customers who are now under Att have the option to either have ATHM or RR as their cable ISP. What migration do you see? Not many RR subs will jump unless ATHM transforms itself into more than it currently is. ATHM management hasn't begun to address this and instead are busy giving away the store to aliens in order to smoke screen persistent failure. I think the expectation is that there will a migration although it is not set in stone. Here is what we know: (1) ATT must divest its ownership interest in RR by 12/31/01 (2) The DOJ said that it would permit ATT to retain certain RR assets in the headend facilities (3) The DOJ said that ATT could switch MediaOne RR subs to ATHM. This doesn't mean such will happen only that the DOJ would not object if this was done. (4) ATT committed in the new distribution agreements to use ATHM for all ATT branded high speed services on the MediaOne properties starting 6/02. Thus, if we consider that it is logical that ATT would want the MGU RR subs to be switched to an ATT branded high speed service (which is required to use ATHM) and since ATT specifically got the DOJ to give them permission to move the RR subs to ATHM, it seems likely that this is what will happen, at least initially. However, ATT could permit the RR subs to choose between an ATT branded service and a service that is not an ATT branded service whether it be RR or otherwise hence getting all these subs is not a certainty.
