Sorry, but they were Greek to me. In some cases hitting a key let me continue and but most time I was just stopped and control/alt/delete wouldn't work

i used to have a similar problem with my pc. every time my knee hit the desk causing a shake, rattle and ouch, i'd get the blue monster. finally figured out it was my power supply. there was a loose contact.

QUESTION

for the last month or two...my windoze98 run pc does not want to shut down via the start button any more. when i click the start button and then shut down, the pc shuts down and then immediately reboots. i have to physically press the cpu off button to have it turn off.

can anyone help me short from telling me to reinstall windoze98?
