Dave B.,

The truth is clearly somewhere in between. My piece of the puzzle says that us techie dudes sometimes place too much importance to observed data we have on hand and pass judgment too quickly without considering all possible developments. I believe when I passed over what I thought was a stock with a problematic technology was when the stock was trading around 50 split-adjusted, which still shows how naive I am when it comes to investing on stocks like this.

On the other hand, the SDR (+ possible DDR) support for Pentium4 is something that was unlikely to happen if the main RDR supporter was still pulling the reins at INTC. Like it or not, there some rdr detractors in the technical rank and file of the techies in intc. When the pain got too great to follow a preset direction to its logical conclusion, intc will still modify their plans and do what will maximize profits.

Regardless, this stock is still 45% above the price when I thought it was a ... problem.

Shows you how naive I am. For all I know, the stock could still go to 200 by christmas and I'd kick myself for just daytrading this guy instead of holding. Sometimes we need stocks like that --- defies logic, laws of physics and rewards its believers with riches.
