There you go again. Giving can take many non monetary forms. In fact, in many instances it is far more giving to spend a weekend building a house for Habitat for Humanity or serving soup to the poor than to give a couple of thousand of dollars that you may have made in stock trade and will only cost you 60% of the amount given after tax. Time is far more valuable than money. And before you say that money is the worth of one's time I will shame you for the thought. Teachers. They are paid little but a teacher's time has a far greater impact on our future than a 2-bit real estate developer, even though the developer may make hundreds of thousands of dollars per year more AND have plenty of time to post on SI.
