Joe, I like your suspend proposal, but fear that it's going to be kind of hard on Mani to sort through & keep track of the current status of warnings/voting/PMs. I wouldn't wish it on a dog.

What happens at the end of the 2 week suspension -- does the re-instated individual get another 3 private warnings, one public warning and a vote or does he get the vote immediately - or one public warning and a vote? It really puts Mani in a difficult position.

Does Mani have to listen to complaints and make the decisions -- This complaint deserves a warning, that one doesn't? He's going to be going nuts trying to figure out which of rambust/itanic/athwipe/etc. are offensive. My position is that all of them were funny for a while and they all got old and offensive. Do we need a list of things that *Just aren't funny anymore?*

After what length of time is a complaint washed from the individuals history?

I think most of us agree that point of view is not the issue, but rather basic decorum -- with *LARGE* allowances tossed in for funny stuff, anger, frustration, etc. IE *NO* Warnings to anybody for anything 'till the thread decides that something isn't funny anymore, or that they have had *ENOUGH* of some kind of commentary and the opinion of *NOT APPROPRIATE* gets posted, on the thread, by the person who thinks it's *NOT APPROPRIATE* anymore(or perhaps never was) & gets agreed upon by a majority in pm to somebody, then posted back to the thread.

Just food for thought -- I think Mani is honorable & trying to do a difficult and very good thing.

I cast a vote to ditch Paul.

Joe,

Maybe we should just get together each week and vote one person off the thread -- until there is only one surviver!

Pravin.
