Jim,

Intel cut AMD's and Via's legs off at the knees with their announcement.

Get serious.

jim, Rambus will eventually recover from all of this, and I think in the not too distant future. AMD is definitely the one that has more serious problems due to the Intel move. The posters on the AMD threads are very concerned about this. AMD's price drop reflected this. Competing with Intel with different products is one thing, but competing with the same... I don't think so. AMD investors now realize that Rambus was really their friend while they were developing different memory products. Now AMD has a new tough kid moving into the neighborhood by the name of Intel and AMD got their attention. That kid does not want to be friends with AMD. All that new tough kid wants is AMD's candy bar and they are going to take it, like it or not. Once this is done it's back to Rambus. When you have a gnat that is annoying you, you swat it! SWAT!!!!
