There is just something not working right with AMAT and AMD.
(I just sold my AMD)

I should have known from my own experience, that the AMD chip can not fess-up to any INTC products. The "AMD" chip computer is not working as well as the "Celeron" INTC chip
computer.

Dummy me!
Buy AMD at 85 and sell 2 weeks later at 70. :{

I am done trying to figure out why these stocks are still dropping like stones. The amazing thing to me is that people like Fleckenstein will still claim that techs(BTW what does he include in the general term "tech"?) are still overvalued even after their fall. And all one ever hears on CNBC is how the semis are on fire. LRCX grew revenue and income 400%+ for the past 12 months yet is down 28% since January 1st. I am tired of constantly having these stocks under attack, whether by the Jonathon Joseph's of the world or by those who NEVER recognize the value they hold, even after they fall precipitously(people like Fleckenstein). But the most frustrating thing of all is how nearly EVERYONE acts on some heretofore anonymous analysts comments as if they were edict. And the brillant(LOL) daytraders are always on CNBC yet 90%+ of them lose their principal within 12 months. And THESE are the people increasingly moving markets. IDIOTS! I understand that in the long-run, value will win out, but it is frustrating when all of these circumstances come together at once and diminsh substantially a portfolio I have put together over a period of years through intensive thought and periodic gut checks.

End of rant:-)
