I gave you the reference. Unlike you, I don't fantasize or make up sources. Look it up, if you are smart enough. If you want the mama's boy reference, check Manchester, American Caesar or MacArthur's own Memoirs. Not many boys go off to West Point and have their mama tag along (while their daddy is still alive). Not many Chiefs of Staff are scared dickless by fear that mama will discover his mistress in the Willard hotel. I will share a story which I only have one source for and have never been able to confirm. When Elisabeth Grey Vining (Akihito's tutor in Americanism) in her book Windows for the Crown Prince was leaving Japan, in her exit interview she tells of MacArthur telling her that he once he followed his guru around the highways and byways of India (a la Kipling's Kim). I checked, and he visited India with his father as a young officer, but there is no other evidence that he was not a mere romantic.
