RDRAM does have a slight performance advantage

From the article. Where do these reporters come up with this nonsense?

Don, Jozef, Bilow, anybody. One question: (Q) If cost was not a factor and Rambus cost 5% LESS, would it then be the technology of choice? If not, why? If yes, why?

Hi Don Green; Re "Rambus technology shows promise, but at the moment, only 1% or 2% of memory chips today use the technology, according to industry estimates."

BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

You mean that those estimates from Semico are coming in too high? The ones that were half the estimates from Instat and Dataquest? Just like I said they'd be? Just like is clearly indicated by the fact that Samsung only recently made its 10 millionth RDRAM, and is responsible for 80% of the market.

Good thing that Intel is reducing its reliance on RDRAM! Yeah, that will get RDRAM used in more systems!!!
