Sonny ---Good morning ---I do not know who are the biggest thieves ---OPEC or the Brokerage houses . The GDP comes out strong with consumer spending dropping from 7% in the first qtr to 3% in the second qtr yet GDP is still strong . This means that productivity increase at a strong rate in the second qtr which should negate the 4% raises that everyone is getting . Up comes the brokerages and the institutions ---lets sell Tech ---with the amount of downward pressure you start to wonder if this is not being orchestrated ---sounds like the oil companies .
Wholesale gas prices ==.87 cents +.18 cents Federal tax + .17 cents state tax = cost . That means they are making .18 cent profit in my home town ---normal profit is .10 cents a gallon . Not too much gouging ?
Trimtabs had eight billion dollars of fresh money flow into equity funds this past week ---we must be setting ourselves up for a rally after the FED next meeting in August ---I guess we will have to wait until the first of the year to pull some of our money out of the market . The way the market is acting really smells !

BEST WISHES
BILL

Hi Sonny,

Write when you can. I use Juno at home too but my computer time is limited there too. 3 People in front of me.

I forgot to mention we actually won something of value. Hubby won a Palm V from an AOL sweepstakes. We were shocked. We came home to find a package on the patio. We just thought it was from a relative that always sends us goodies. It wasn't. It was a 3com palm pilot. Of course the first words out of my mouth were THATS MINE!!. <GGGG>
He didn't even know what it was. I had one here at work from symbol (SBL makes scanners) that I was messing around doing R&D for an application. So in my spare time I'll be downloading the code to learn how to program those little things. Heck it may not be much but PALM/OS can't look that bad on an ole resume. Oh.. so many toys so little time.

What a crappy day in the market. There isn't much more to say about that.

Well we will have 2x as much INTC on Monday so that will be good. As long as we can keep it going up!!!

Watch the convention this weekend. I'm sure it will be interesting. I like to watch both just for entertainment value. LOL!!

Have a great weekend!!

Take Care

Ann

Sonny ---Good afternoon ---I saw unleaded gas for sale at three stations for 1.33 a gallon . Hopefully with Oil dropping another .78 cents a barrel today we might see gas down at 1.19 by Labor day . Should help the inflation picture and the Fed to not raise interest rates in August .
I am really looking forward to see what the productivity numbers are for the economy on August 8th for the second qtr . That will decide if the Fed is going to tighten in the near future .
Hope things are going well ---ready for October and a run for the market until the first of the year ---would like to raise some cash .

Best Wishes
BILL
