Jim,
RE:"- ThumperTurd and the DUpalon BOTH OF WHICH CAN'T BE FOUND due to chip set and motherboard - shall we say - PROBLEMS !!!!!

I would hardly compare AMDs chipset/motherboard problems with Intels.
AMDs mainly are a lack of availibility, Intels are due to a ill-laid roadmap (Rambus), channel defect, incompatible MTH, greed etc.
OTOH, I consider AMDs lack of MBs very pathetic as well, very pathetic...as well but it will work out this month.
Then again, you know how critical I can be of the supposedly "genius" companies.

Kind of makes you wonder what will happen if Intel has to relay on 3rd parties for DDR chipsets doesn't it...?

Re: two phony product launches with the ThumperTurd and the DUpalon - BOTH OF WHICH CAN'T BE FOUND

Hi Paul,

The point I was making was that it probably isn't a motherboard chipset issue. It's more likely that P4, like Itanium, is a dud. Intel continues to work wonders with the old Pentium Pro. The .13 variation may well be good enough to keep them almost competitive.

By the way, 20 pages of entries come up on pricewatch if you type in "Duron". Systems, motherboards, and chips.

Take a look at the system below, note the 256k integrated cache - It's a Thunderbird.
