Lewinsky-Dan - Re: ". It's more likely that P4, like Itanium, is a dud. "

All sources of "rumours" about poor P4 perfromance can be traced to Bert McComas and his flop-aroo Platform 2000 - which was supposed to be an AMD Love Fest - and turned out to be a ThumperDUD.

McComas has been publishing anti-Rambus and anti-Intel smear articles for about two years - check Tom Uberclockermeister's thread.

He's been using his anti-Intel stance to make money and get "gigs" such as being AMD's paid monkey and hosting the Platform 2000 Fiasco - that announced nothing new for AMD.

If you want to believe McComas' bullshit, then go all the way - and short Intel's stock on Monday morning.

You'll make millions of dollars - GUARANTEED - if McComas is right.

On the other hand, you're just a chicken that blows hot air.

Paul

Lewinsky Dan - Re: "128 MB 100 MHz SyncDRAM "

Why such cheesy memory?

Why 1 GHz when the low memory speed is used?

Kinda defeats the purpose, eh?

My guess is that an 866 MHz Pentium III with DRRAM is faster than this memory-shackled CostPAQ computer !
