Hi Frank:

I caught the "tongue 'n cheek. Got my cell phone; got my cigarette lighter even though I don't smoke. We Californians need to be prepared, not only for power outages, but the earthquakes that are the most likely cause of them (other than the occasional brown out due the nifty de-regulation of power industry here). So in addition to my "cell & lighter" I also carry my emergency stash of cash, as well as keep in storage an extra few gallons of water, and a flashlight.

My comment was principally meant to emphasize that what Universal Studios likely commissioned in the way of a field power system was likely a system of generators more akin to what a CO has than a field-rigged system. I really don't know; its just a guess since I don't think my retired friend would be relating to me one of his accomplishments that's a mere "fix in the woods."
