Yes I know software technologies and vitria. In fact I am really hot on that area which is still called EAI I think. Just read the last 10 or so posts from the webmethods board, Subject 31877 My understanding was that active had the best product in the space which webmethods acquired. Of course what does it mean to be "best" anyway? But irrespective of that, webm is oem'd in all the exchanges so thats a huge competitive advantage. Here is a more standards-based approach to integration middleware that the java purists think will eventually win. But the text of this makes me think its a bit of vaporware. biz.yahoo.com
