As he understands the situation, it is the added weight of the ocean waters caused by glacial melting that accounts for the lion's share of global warming's contribution to tectonic activity.

This makes slightly more sense than the thermal expansion theory, but still sounds kind of bogus.

I don't know.....Dale felt pretty strongly about it since he went thru me to get it posted. You guys can argue it out when he gets on the thread.

Personally I would prefer that it were not true....I think we will have enough problems without it.
