I think that is pretty sound. Part of my problem is, though, that if I want to learn something, I don't generally watch tv, I read a book. If I'm looking to be "uplifted", I don't generally watch tv, I pray. If I am looking to improve my character, I don't generally watch tv, I take stock and make sure that I tend to duties I have omitted, or volunteer for service at my son's school, or something like that. I mainly watch tv to be entertained, to unwind. Now, as it happens, I require a fair degree of stimulation, so I tend to gravitate to the more intelligent sitcoms and more complex dramas. As it also happens, when there is something serious like the recent dramatization of the Nuremburg Trial on TNT, I cannot pass up the experience of simulating participation. Similarly, if there is a PBS tour of the Hermitage, I may watch, because I love art. But I am not mainly interested in watching art shows or educational programming, I am mainly interested in shows, smart shows, well made shows, but shows...........
