If we used the death penalty more often, Criminals would think twice about Murdering their victims. Our present policy gives them free room and board. free education
free fitness gyms, free medical, and libraries that few schools have. all to the tune of (correct me if I am wrong)
about $40,000 annually. and tell me what Senior Citizen gets that in their SS check??? I am for the death penalty.

It's very rare that a murderer kills again after being convicted, regardless of the specific penalty. I'm all for keeping violent criminals out of the general population, it's just that the death penalty does not deter other criminals (who seldom think before they act) and diminishes the concept that there is something wrong with killing. It's an outdated concept that has been rejected by the more civilized world.
