What do you mean upset? Because it is counter to their positions? How many of them take what we say seriously anyway. I only think that if we are indeed correct, that means we stand to make large profits. The only advantage analysts have is that they have access to numbers. Its hard for me to get quantitative values to support my arguments. I vaugly remember that foundries made approx 10% of all chips, but I don't know what the estimates for the future are. I'd guess if that approached 20% by 2002, they would significantly dampen cycles. Additionally, I'd like to have a better grip on the percentage increase a single 300mm fab would have on chip production in each chip type. Any feel for that? If a 300mm fab came online today in flash for example, would that represent a 5% increase in world production? 15%? Anyone? Beuhler? Beuhler?

PS If we all pitched in, collected, and posted numbers, we might be able to figure this out - and make lots o money.
