wanna know the real(or at least another) reason why companies like williams and qwest choose their products from certain vendors like avici and juniper?...guess who usually gets tens of thousands of options when these co's go public?...the chief techn. officers of telecom co's who make the decisions on which products to deploy within their system!...now im not saying that the products from scmr, jnpr or the other start-ups are not superior, but there are other factors at work too<ggg>...many instant millionaires have been produced that happen to work at telecom co's holding key positions... they are holding a boatload of scmr, jnpr and rbak stock...as far as i know, csco does not partake in this practice.

Techplayer, if they did receive equity in evaluating product this would all be public info. and we would be able to see, as it must be disclosed by SEC sanctions.

Not necessarly a bad thing as these two particular companies subdue my speculation itch a tad at this time. Nortel does own interest in this company, roughly 16% as well.

As for full product rollout, yes I agree this is what I am waiting for and I am sure it is in the companies best interest as well. So far they seem to have a good start, and hopefully they will capitalize for all of us highly speculating investors. For myself personally, I will give them the benefit of the doubt for the time being until i have signs that there path is not as clear for success as it is now...still too early to tell for sure. I do love the sector and the oppertunity presented here for my risk level in my own opinion.

Funny thing last year on JNPR thread, all of these concerns were the same and entirely valid.... sometimes I feel we revist the same concerns to a "T", soo I choose to participate in only worthy threads with valuable contributers, (you included:) for a better grasp on teh technical and industry evaluations.

As for now, I just wish i still had my JNPR shares.... :(

Best of luck to all of us....
